Learn French, Think French
The "Learn French, Think French" method

Sophie Hanry
(Miss H)
Mission
My name is Sophie Hanry, although for the last 15 years, my students have called me "Miss H".
I am French. I grew up in Brittany where lots of British people travelled to. Hearing people speak a different language has fascinated me for as long as I can remember so I learnt English, Spanish and German at school. At uni, I got very fond of Japanese and Korean.
In 2010, I finally took the opportunity to work in England. I became a language assistant at Gravesend Grammar School, in Kent. I then studied in Strasbourg to get a master to teach French to foreigners and met people from so many countries. The chapter in Scotland started at the University of Glasgow where I became a fully qualified teacher in 2015 in Scotland. During the pandemic, as well as doing the Joe Wicks daily exercises, I got into doing 5 languages a day, and started online tutoring.
Bottom line, my mission is to teach. Supporting English speakers who wan to learn French makes me the happiest. Trying new techniques to make a learner understand, think and learn, keeping up-to-date with what works and what doesn't is what I love doing everyday.
Vision
After having met too many people saying they wish they could speak French, and that no resource was good enough, I started writing my own books.
Encouraged by my students' success in taking on my advice and enjoying my way of teaching, I am now opening my services worldwide, to students who lack the confidence but are resilient and truly want to make progress in French.
I can't think of any reason as in why anyone would not be able to learn another language.
Does it take time? Yes, it does.
Does it take effort? Yes, it does.
Is French particularly hard because of the pronunciation and the grammar? Of course!
Can I still guarantee that you will be able to communicate in French and interact with French speakers?
Yes, I can.
