Since I've started teaching, I've realised that we are all different learners who g at their own pace, with our own specific agenda and goal to reach. Whilst my books are aimed at a more general audience, with these packages, I want to target those specific goals, with the option to have the 1:1 tuition on the side to support them and go even further in their learning. Hopefully this is where your journey to think French starts and this website will become a reference for you to learn with care, support and resilience.
Having been teaching French for 10 years now, I've come across all sorts of learners and today, I want to give them back all these years of experience that have inspired me, thanks to my students. Why book a 1:1 session?
If you want to learn French, you are at the right place. My method relies on one principle: I will teach you how to think French. I believe that by making you think like a French speaker and by making connections with what you know of your language in a fun and smart way, you will learn French quickly and efficiently.

Who am I?

Native French speaker, born and raised in Brittany

Teacher in the UK since 2011, worked in England and Scotland so I am familiar with GCSE, A Levels, N5, Higher and Advanced Higher

Example of a typical session

Review of previous knowledge

New vocabulary and grammar input through PowerPoints or Word documents, in target language (in French) as much as possible

Practice through the 4 skills: listening, reading, writing, talking. This happens through different activities including multiple choice questions and correcting sentences with mistakes made on purpose to check your knowledge and understanding

Review of new content learnt during the session

Feedback from me to you but also from you to me so we can both agree on our next learning steps

Your time, your choice. If there is something specific you want to learn, we will. If you want to work on a skill in particular, we will.
All new learning point (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, etc...) is typed up and shared on the screen with you on a Word document and emailed to you at the end of the session. That way, you can go back over the notes to ensure it's there for you to review.

What's up with Mr Pingouin?
More than a teddy, Monsieur Pingouin has been my teaching assitant since I started teaching in Scotland. Very useful in class, he has helped many students to take part and to remain calm during talking exams.
